Currently we do not offer Child car seats in the cars, and users are expected to supply their own if they have a young child. However, there are requests for this policy to change.
Car club membership has been a real boon to our family – but I haven’t yet taken my 1-year-old anywhere in a Commonwheels car as car seats seem prohibitively expensive for very occasional use. I bet I’m not the only one in this position, and I’d love to hear from anyone who’d be interested in joining me to figure out a way of collectively buying a seat (or seats, depending on the number and ages of children who’d use them) for members to share.
Figuring out the logistics would call for some creativity: who would buy/own/keep/arrange access to it/them? But if this might in principle be useful to you and you’d be up for helping me find a way to make it work, do get in touch: alchis72 at yahoo.co.uk
